Happy Birthday Milton
“Underlying most arguments
against the free market is
a lack of belief in freedom itself.”
.
Milton Friedman would have been 100 years old today.
I find that there are three incredible items concerning him.
One: that there are still a lot of people who do not know who he is (was).
Two: That Chicago was his main stomping grounds as a brilliant educator on economics.
Three: That in such a short time, people have completely forgotten and/or ignored the reality of historical fact concerning his expertise.
On the Phil Donahue Show in 1979
~
“If you put the federal government in charge of the Sahara Desert,
in 5 years there’d be a shortage of sand.”
– Milton Friedman
