Oxymorons and the Psychology of Projection 101

| August 29, 2011

This subject has been bothering me for quite some time now –

Conservatism is naturally fiscally responsible. Period.

Tacking a word in front of “conservative” to make up some kind of sub category is like mixing sugar and water with gasoline and trying to run an engine with it.

It gums up the machine –

It is more than unnecessary, it is damaging.

I’m quite sure that some folks will become quite offended at a view that believes in individual freedom and liberty. But in these times, we must

    stop and think

“Social Conservative” is an oxymoron.

Benjamin Franklin said it best that “Liberty is the freedom to BE wrong, not the freedom to DO wrong.”

There ARE absolutes in the universe. There are also subjects that are up to the INDIVIDUAL.

However, it is not up to me or you to decide if someone else can or cannot wear white socks or not … drink a beer or not … smoke or not … read the bible or not … believe the moon is flat or not … and on and on ad nauseam.

For example –

“Social conservative” is a B.S. term that pretend conservative fascists hide behind. If this statement has offended you personally, I make no apologies for it. That is YOUR problem, not mine.

What’s next? White Conservative … Black Conservative … Composite Conservative ?!?

See how

    ridiculous

that sounds ?

Look – I’m quite hard right on a lot of issues … I believe in “traditional” things.

However, true conservatism is quite tolerant of personal liberty and freedom. Splitting hairs is NOT.

I’m sure those who fall into the trap of hyphenating anything do so with good intention and would be aghast at the appearance of being hypocritical in any way. But it’s a slippery slope!

The irony comes when those who seek to be tolerant fall victim of the appearance of intolerance.

That said – then it must be considered those who actually manipulate by making themselves appear to be something other than they are.

Modern Liberals (those who label themselves liberal) are the most intolerant, hypocritical bafoons that have ever walked the Earth. They say and do the opposite. The “liberal leaders” thrive on blind fools and “useful idiots”.

The political tool of demonizing a group by “projection” is simply Psychology 101 – it deflects real blame and responsibility onto a created scapegoat …

The actual medical definition of scapegoating is:

“Process in which the mechanisms of projection or displacement are utilised in focusing feelings of aggression, hostility, frustration, etc., upon another individual or group; the amount of blame being unwarranted.” – mondofacto.com

This is the tool politicians like Waters utilizes. It is an old trick. It is used a lot these days!

Modern Liberals veil their ulterior motives in “good causes” for the “greater good”.

Pretend Conservatives are not much different. They just use different veils of deception.

We know a tree by the fruit it bears.

You can motivate people for a period of time by implanting fear … or saying what they want to hear … or appealing to the least common denominator … or promising to fill their fat bellies with candy … That’s what we have NOW –

It is a simple matter to open one’s eyes and see what fruit a tree bears before taking the bite.

LBJ was no JFK – JFK, like him or not – was a war hero and understood that cutting taxes across the board would bring in more revenues for the government. And it did.

History’s view is 20/20 –

Listening to fear and empty words blur our sight of the future.

You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink …

But the horse WILL EVENTUALLY drink !

In other words – people are smart enough to decide a proper course for themselves eventually.

BUT – protect what gives people the freedom to make their own mistakes.

Stand on what makes America better. Stand on what made and makes us a free people of Liberty and prosperity.

See the fruit that is born from a tree first !

There is an interesting article from back a ways from a surprising source – the New York Times – that really hit the nail on the head as far as this subject of standing for what is right, and letting those subjects best left to the individual to remain with the individual.

READ the Times article by clicking HERE.

Yep – I was surprised to read such a well reported article from the NYT … but there are still good journalists out there. A lot more than you think !!!

Stand up for what is right – leave all the opinions to the individuals.

American NEVER needs CHANGE – it needs GROWTH

Beware the politician who calls for CHANGE – heed the one who calls for GROWTH
