Admiral Rickover’s Frustrations with Defence Contractors, Lax Public Education and Lazy People

| October 6, 2011

With researching Admiral Hyman Rickover for my Feature Submarine Documentary Movie “Submariners: The Men Of The Silent Service”, I have become quite enthralled with his reputation of being demanding and “salty”.

He especially ran contractors ragged. He was passionate about his work and it is so very fortunate for America to have such men in our history.

In 1962, Rickover showed his frustration in an interview with Time Magazine.

Here is a link to the article (I respect their intellectual rights of course)

Time Magazine Article on Admiral Rickover

Awesome, huh?

Lazy, selfish people have always been with us and always will unfortunately.

Isn’t it just amazing how just one man of vision and passion can overcome a lot of parasites and oxygen thieves?
