Squeezing The Nobility

From “Dragonheart” (1996)

Sean Connery voiced the dragon named “Draco” … there was an interesting quote he made from the script in a scene where the knight was riding along in a field somewhere in the middle of the film.

The knight made some comment about profiting and making gold from the rich paying customers …

The dragon answered –

“When you squeeze the nobility, it’s the peasants who feel the pinch.”

I wonder if that is a quote from some wise man from past ages?

It sure does apply to real economics – and certainly applies to the times we live in now.

A trick of the big government politician manipulators is to tell the “common people” (everyday Americans) that think they have to depend on the government to “take care” of them, is to preach about taxing the “rich”.

In other words – taxing ( adding cost to ) a service or good simply means that cost is figured into the product and it is the buyer who “feels the pinch” from higher costs and taxes.

Does the old saying “shooting yourself in the foot” hold any meaning to you?

The bottom line is – if you tax the producers, it is the consumer who pays the tax.
