Hate Him or Love Him – This is a Great Documentary

| October 6, 2011

Ralph Nader is one of our more interesting nuts that hangs from our American tree.

It sometimes doesn’t matter what the subject matter of a documentary is if you see it from a nuts-and-bolts viewpoint. And yet – it’s the subject matter that the public see a doc for in the first place … so it would be a shame that such a well put together doc is passed over because of the subject …

However … that said …

“An Unreasonable Man” is an awesome feature documentary.

It tracks the life and career of Ralph Nader – but it is not boring ! It is a well put together film for folks into contemporary history and activism as well as documentary heads.

I’m one of those documentary heads – I love them as well as make them ;-)

I really like the pace and mood of this doc. I don’t believe there is anyone other than Ralph Nader who is likeable and “hateable” (is that evern a real term?) at the same time. But he is.

Love to hate him?

Hate to love him … love to love him … hate to hate him …

It seems liberals get the ultimate frustration that just when you start to like Ralph Nader, he does something that completely p*ss*s them off … which conservatives then love.

What a character ! And THAT is what makes a great documentary …

By the way –

Speaking of great characters in a feature documentary …

My newest feature doc –

“Submariners: The Men of the Silent Service” is now in pre-release ordering status.

We appreciate that submariner folks are talking about it and already ordering it like crazy – there is a deep pre-street date discount on it.

The street date is OCTOBER 30TH !!! Will be shipping then.

Personally, I’m not as paranoid as Woody Allen who, once he makes a film never sees it again and hates everything he’s ever made … that’s just his vibe …

I am never completely satisfied – but that is just the way the artist mentality goes …

But I do say I have never enjoyed one of my own works as much as this Submarine Documentary.

So – enjoy !
