I am encouraged by my daughter today as we prepare to have a long outing.

She expressed how fascinating it is to watch the scenery as it goes by …

… and how she can play her video game “anytime” … :-)

It’s not easy to guide kids while not smothering or dictating … it’s a real balance. I recomend it to anyone.

I remember how she was into Icarly a few years back and then decided it was destroying her creativity and stopped watching it cold turkey (to my delight as the story lines were beginning to get questionable) …

I will never forget sitting at my desk working and she came in and said,

“Since I quit watching that Icarly, I feel like myself.“

Wow – out of the mouths of babes indeed …

The only thing that should completely obsess us is our family, our dreams and our work. In that order!
