Brit Shedjooling on “BBC I Wanna Be American”

| September 27, 2012

Anyone who really knows me knows I am a complete Top Gear UK fanatic…

… and completely loathe the Americanized version on the “History Channel” – while I also dig the version out of Korea which I can see via the ‘net …

“American” versions of British television shows lack an understanding of why the original show was so popular in the first place and completely destroys its original charm.

Imagine Monty Python on the history channel made with an ensemble from the Comedy Channel …

I rest my case as I also digress … *ahem* …

Brits schedule (shedjool) things in a bizarre fashion …

So they are showing the TOP 40 TOP GEAR UK CHALLENGES IN ORDER this afternoon which is really cool as its been a while since they were initially shown … and I’m slaving over a hot computer all week restoring a classic film for an upcoming collection on DVD …

Yet BBC America STOPS AT THE TOP TEN !?!

Whaaaah ?

Yep – starting off at #40, they go all the way down to #11 and then stop and show other Top Gear episodes for the rest of the evening …

Where is the logic in THAT
BBC America ?!?

Sure, Brits are charming – especially the ones who are jealous of America yet pretend they despise us ( Jeremy Clarkson ) yet they seem to lack the ability to finish anything properly …

I mean … be fair … they can’t even finish a war without our help … glad to do it …

Even James Bond
needed Felix Leiter
to really crack a case …

So when will the top 10 episode
be played ?

I mean – it’s only an hour episode with what the BBC considers the top 10 Top Gear UK challenges …

This is like gearicus interuptus
