Historical Manipulations ~ Stealing the Limelight

| April 21, 2012

Edison was not what he is made to be.

He couldn’t hold a candle to real genius like Tesla, so to speak.

Edison was not the great inventor kids are taught. He was actually a tinkerer at best.

Then why was he so regarded and hailed as a great inventor?

It is because he was relentless. He was a predator. He was a tireless tinkerer. He got it done. His real strength of success was in producing product.

Most important – Edison’s efforts could be easily understood by common minds.

The concept of the light bulb was easy to understand. Controlling objects through the air without wires was like witchcraft. And common minds always burned the scientific at the stake of ignorance in the past.

Edison eventually had a score of young men working for him who really did the work. Edison had merely built himself a public reputation while others slaved in the back rooms and remain nameless in history.

Men such as Tesla are the mind spring. However, pioneering genius seldom brings recognized success for the pioneer.

Pioneers are usually the ones who get scalped. The ones who follow the blazed trail after the pioneer are those who eventually make the trip successfully once the trail is cleared for them.

The race seldom goes to the swift. It goes to the steady plodder. Any NASCAR fan knows that. Any marathon runner knows that. It takes a steady pace to finish.

Men like Edison and Westinghouse used men like Tesla like a vampire uses its victim. Yet, it is the names Westinghouse and Edison that are hailed in school history books, not Tesla.

I am not discussing ethics – this is just how it was and is among the schemes of men.

Marconi was also not a genius. He merely tinkered on stolen ideas from geniuses of his time. Children are still taught he is the father of radio. Another misnomer – or is it an outright manipulation? Maybe a perpetuated lie?

It was finally decided by the US Supreme Court in 1943 that Tesla is the father of the wireless radio – yet school books (such as those I had in my public education days) still hailed Marconi as the one. After a very long study of patents and facts, Tesla was declared the real inventor of wireless radio technology.

So children in schools are deliberately taught wrong information. Why is this so?

There is a principle at work that explains the great complexities in life such as the Edison VS Tesla subject as well as the childish simplicity of the teacher’s pet syndrome in kindergarten.

If you can figure that one out – you will rule as a prince. You will be the rose among thorns. You will created your own empire. You will overcome the vampires.

What is it? It is too precious a commodity and takes so much sweat and blood to discover to simply spill it onto the ground. Maybe I will write a book about it some day. (sorry)

Today, men like Tesla have been brought to the forefront somewhat. But only in some kind of circus atmosphere of curiosity.

The artist Picasso said; “Good artists copy. Great artists steal.”

Picasso’s words may be true on some level of ethics, but I prefer to sleep peacefully and have pleasant dreams.

There is a definite parallel with the development of AC VS DC power 100 years ago and today’s futile attempts at solar power today. Just as DC was foolishly hailed as the future of powering cities, these “solar farms” of today are just as much an impracticality.

They’re about as practical as a solar powered tanning bed !

Solar power needs a modern day Tesla to discover the practical aspects of manipulating power from the sun.
