The Original Kansas Band Reunites –

I was just let know that the members of the “original” members of the band KANSAS will reunite for a show in Pittsburg, PA this summer –

Cool !

I would like to be there … but my schedule this year looks like I will not be able to make the trek …

“Original“ as in the third incarnation of the band as there were three versions before the famous line-up we all know from Classic Rock days.
Way back when I was studying engineering, I ran into Phil Ehart, the drummer for KANSAS and spent over an hour in a conversation with him about a lot of stuff concerning the band and the Music Industry. It had a profound effect on my future.

Phil is a very gracious and wise person as well as being an amazing skilled musician.

Not long before I met Phil, I was working to get through engineering school at a “Toys R Us” in Florida and Robbie Steinheardt, the violinist for Kansas came in with his young family to buy diapers for their baby. I was the only one to recognize him. But too timid at the time to acknowledge that I knew who he was.
